Custom Orthotics

Personalised orthotic solutions for optimal comfort and support. Expertly crafted to alleviate foot pain. Trust us to keep you on your feet.

We can supply pre fabricated or custom casted Orthotics. This will be dependent upon your diagnosis. Pre fabricated Orthotics can also be customised with postings if a casted Orthotic is not necessary. Orthotics can correct bio mechanical imbalances such as pronation or supination. They alter forces from the ground up and support, cushion and align the foot and ankle. They can also assist to alleviate pressure on the knees and assist with lower back pain if it is a bio mechanical imbalance. They can also take pressure off of the forefoot, relieving pain from pressure points.

Foot Pain Management

Comprehensive foot pain management tailored to your specific needs. Let us help you find relief from chronic discomfort.

We will carry out a detailed assessment of your feet which may require what is called a "Bio mechanical Assessment."
If you have specific foot pain we will take any medical and injury history and ask that you bring along any medical reports and any imaging you may have (such as X Rays or ultrasound/MRI reports). We will test the range of motion in your joints which may involve the hip and knee joint, as well as the foot. We will watch you walking to assess any gait abnormalities and from this devise a treatment plan. This may involve taping, stretching programmes, orthotics or further investigations by other health professionals if relevant. It may be a simple solution involving routine foot care but whatever the diagnosis we will strive to alleviate any pain and provide preventative advice for the future.

Routine Podiatry

We offer routine Podiatry for your feet to alleviate pain and optimise your mobility.

Common treatments offered are:
Nail care. You may have a back injury or a condition that prevents you from reaching your nails to cut them. Your nails may be thickened or ingrown and you are struggling with this. We can cut and reduce the thickness of your nails.

Corns and callus: Corns and callus are hard areas of skin that build up and can become uncomfortable to walk on. They can be caused by tight fitting or loose footwear or from your biomechanics (the way you walk). We will remove the hard skins and corns with a scalpel instantly alleviating any pain. We may also then look at padding the area to offload any pressure.

Verruca: These are not caused by pressure but by a virus that is within our system already. They are areas of hard skin and can become very painful to walk on. They are very difficult to treat. We can use debridement and Cryotherapy (freezing spray) and other methods to break down the area of skin.

Home visits

We offer routine Podiatry home visits. These are generally on specific days and are 30 minute appointments. These are perfect for those with limited mobility, that do not have transport, are post op or who just prefer a visit at home.

Where are you located?

We are located within Harley's Hairdressing at 280 Chatsworth Road, Brampton, Chesterfield. The building is between Lidl and Morrisons on the left hand side if travelling from Chesterfield Town centre. After Lidl you will come to traffic lights. Harleys is just past the traffic lights (double fronted dark grey building).

Is it easy to park close by?

Yes there are limited time options outside Harleys on Chatsworth Road for an hour or just past Harleys for 2 hours.

There is also a small car park on the left just before Harleys Hairdressing. Turn immediately left after Lidl into Factory Street and immediately right. This is 2 hour parking.

There is also unlimited time parking on Barker Lane and Old Road which are opposite.

What are your opening days/hours?

We are initially open Thursday and Fridays from 08.30 until 7 p.m. As the business grows these days and hours will expand. We also offer home visits on Mondays.

Do you offer home visits and what is the cost?

Yes we do offer home visits. These are 30 minute appointments and are generally carried out on Mondays (but we can be flexible if an emergency appointment is required). The cost is 40 pounds.
